We seriously considered it, but decided that seven children in a relatively-small house, our ages (42/40 when we made the decision; now 43/41), two teenagers that would be horrified to hear their mom was pregnant, and economic considerations (read: college tuition) justified more NFP. Of course, NFP hasn't been highly effective for us (6/7s were unwanted pregnancy), so who knows what the future holds, but if the NF planning works, we're done. Number eight? I don't see any soup lines snaking around block after block. I do see people using Bridge Cards to take up to $100 of cash back, to buy cigarettes, alcohol, and massive quantities of junk food. Perhaps the misery this time around is centered on the loss of wealth...it certainly isn't on the loss of vices or waistline.
