I'm more of a wine drinker than a beer drinker. Always was the case (pun unintentionally intended).

I lean towards Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, a somewhat dry Reisling (Gainey's is incredible!!), the more recent better made Merlots, etc.

I'm not a fan of heavy beers, and especially not a fan of hops overload (bitter = blech!). If I drink a beer it has to be light (in flavor), pleasingly sweet to the tongue, ice cold, and never from a can (shudder).

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to drink on tap Blue Moon's Summer Honey Wheat. I liked it. A lot.

But I'm suspecting that I may have to turn in my man-card because of it. LOL

I've had the Leinenkugel Summer Shandy (not bad) and the regular Leinenkugel (pretty good), but not the Berry Weiss. You know what's really good is Hoegaarden - an Indian guy in my office tipped me off to that, he developed a taste for it while working in Germany (although I think it's a Dutch beer). It's similar to Blue Moon, which I also like a lot. But mostly I'm partial to IPAs now-a-days.

It's funny to read all the fitness-related tips with each - I've never thought of beer in those terms before...it just doesn't seem right.

Pabst reminds me of college, it was about $1.69 for a six-pack of tall boys (early 80s) - what we used to like about it is that it tasted just as good after sitting in the truck of the car on a summer day as it did cold. Or maybe that was just as bad. But - $1.69 for a six!
