Carol: I share your concerns about the newspaper. Someone made a big mistake. Thing is, it's a non-profit operation that, I'm reasonably certain, operates on a shoe-string budget, so I suspect they cut a corner on this one that shouldn't have been cut.

Hi,
I recently wrote to the Deacon associated with Fr. Groeschel, and explained my reaction as a nurse who took care of many religious retirees in a nursing home setting. It is very unsettling to see/hear inappropriateness in the elderly, but especially when you have put these people on a moral pedestal. These priests/religious are ill, and disease does not distinguish. His actions were definitely forgiveable and understandable.

My concern is the newspaper that allowed this to be published-- I wonder if the interviewer was inexperienced; or how did this get past the editor with questioning? I think that needs review.

Thanks, Carol Y RN
