   Please refer to Bud, Miller, and all the other mass produced American beers as “in the pilsner style.” Anyone who has embedded his or her teeth into a genuine German pils vom fass (from the tap)will cringe at the inclusion of Bud et al in that category.

   Those crisp, fresh German pils have complex taste, over the tongue and aftertaste, too. The aftertaste of US brews is sour. My favorite German pils comes from a the small village of Ulm in the Black Forest: http://www.ulmer-bier.de/

   I agree that Colbert has a snotty persona on his show, but I tend to agree with your friend that it’s an act. He’s also the only funny guy with a popular show that invites theologians on do discuss their ideas and he usually tears apart the relativists.
